If you've started looking into Umrah, you've probably noticed something frustrating: every agency gives you a different price, and almost none of them explain why. One quotes a figure that sounds too good to be true. Another seems expensive for no clear reason. So let's do something different — let's actually break it down.
The honest answer is that there is no single price for Umrah, and anyone who gives you one without asking questions is guessing. Your total depends on four things, and once you understand them, you'll be able to judge any quote you're given.
1. When you travel
This is the single biggest factor. Ramadan and school holidays are the most expensive times to go — flights and hotels can cost two or three times their off-season rate. The quiet months are dramatically cheaper for exactly the same experience. If your dates are flexible, this one choice can save you more than anything else.
2. How close your hotel is to the Haram
A room you can walk to the Haram from in five minutes will always cost more than one that needs a shuttle. Neither is wrong — it's a trade-off. Some pilgrims happily stay further out and put the savings towards a longer trip. Others would rather pay more to step out of the lobby and be at the Mataf. The key is knowing the real distance before you book, not after.
3. Your flights
Direct flights cost more than transit flights. Peak-time departures cost more than awkward ones. We often secure tickets at better rates than the airline websites, but flights still move with demand, so booking earlier usually helps.
4. How many people are travelling
Sharing a room brings the per-person cost down significantly. A family of four in two rooms will pay far less each than a couple travelling alone. This is why a "per person" price means very little until we know your group.
So what should you actually budget?
Rather than throw a number at you that may be wrong by the time you read this, we'll do something more useful: tell us your dates, your departure city, your group size, and your budget — and we'll give you a real, current figure with everything itemised. No vague "all-inclusive" total hiding the details. You'll see exactly what you're paying for.
